Starting as a car stereo shop in Temple, TX, Sound Design began creating custom sound systems in 1993. Within a few years, Sound Design began to transition into more custom home audio and theater in the area. In 1998, the car stereo division of the company was sold and a new location was built at Lake Belton to focus solely on home theater and security. In 2008, a second location was opened in Horseshoe Bay, and as the business continued to grow in the hill country area, a third location was opened in Lakeway in 2010.
The Temple location was closed in 2012, and construction began in Horseshoe Bay on the new store that Sound Design is in today. What started out as a hobby in 1991 and a business in 1993, it has now become a full-fledged design and build custom home theater and integration company.
With small projects to seven figure projects, Sound Design has the experience necessary to make sure that the project exceeds the customers’ expectations, and the tenure to make sure that first class service is always there.
